The University of Benin (UNIBEN) school fees for new students 2020/2021 academic session is here already, although it will surprise many students that the school fees have been increased. The acceptance fee jumped from 50,000 to 60,000 Naira. It should be noted that the acceptance fee is meant for fresh students only, and they must first pay the fee before they can be embraced into the system.

UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES FOR COLLEGE OF MEDICINE (Fresh Students) 

For students admitted to the College of Medicine, they are to pay:

  1. School Fees – N73,500  
  2. Acceptance Fees -=N90,000. 

Total – N163,500 per session 

For students admitted to the Faculty of Sciences and other science-related departments, they are to pay:

  1. School Fees – N73,500 
  2. Acceptance Fee –  N60 ,000

Total = 133,500 Naira per session.

For students admitted into other non-science faculties (such as the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, and so on), they are to pay:

  1. School Fees – N69,900 Naira
  2. Acceptance Fee – N60,000

 Total – 129,900 Naira Per Session 

* You are meant to pay your tuition fees for the 2019/2020 academic session early enough to the designated banks as approved by the school senate. It should be noted that Fresh students that failed to pay their Acceptance fees as at when due won’t be matriculated. Your acceptance fee is what will make the school realise that you are indeed serious with the admission and that you are taking it (so there won’t be a need to give your spot to someone else). Therefore, you must ensure that you get yourself familiar with the deadline of the payments, and ensure you get it settled before the day comes.

After highlighting the school fees that concern Fresh students, let us explore all that concerns returning students (as the school management has also released the 2020/2021 School Fees For Returning Students).

As a stale student, you should be familiar with the system by now, and you should know that payment has always been online to get things easy. You can make the payment with your laptop and ATM card right in your home, and you don’t have to waste money going to the cafe. In fact, as far as you have a good Android smartphone with you, you can actually still pay your fees yourself irrespective of where you are, download the proof, and print out from a business center later (thereby, saving a lot of money).
