The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has eventually approved JUPEB school fees for fresh students for the 2020/2021 academic session, and they have made adequate clarifications as regards how the payments would go.

JUPEB programmes are so superb for aspirants who were hindered from getting admission into the University of Benin through the popular UTME medium (or even through Direct Entry). So, instead of waiting for another year, you can get yourself busy with JUPEB programmes and utilize the medium to get into the institution.

UNIBEN JUPEB School Fees Installment Payment Break Down

Just as we stated earlier, the institution is aware of the fact that not everyone can pay the fees at a go, and so, have made plans having installment payments at heart. Here is the scheme:

*It should be noted that this includes the hostel accommodation fee. Therefore, you won’t have to pay anything in that regard again.

  • The first Payment is N140,000
  • The second Installment Payment is N50, 000
  • The third Installment Payment is N50,000

Of course, there are tons of benefits attached to JUPEB. One of them is the fact that you ride on its wings to get into 200L of any institution you desire (instead of starting again from the scratch – 100 Level). It is something recognized everywhere in Nigeria – even amongst top universities in the country (so, you are not wasting your time or money).

Of course, several institutions in the country are in the business of JUPEB. Nevertheless, The University of Benin – UNIBEN JUPEB is one of the best you can get anywhere (due to very important reasons). We must consider the fact that it has the reputation of being one of the most reliable in the whole of Nigeria. Unlike in some other quarters that won’t mind introducing partiality in the system, UNIBEN is just a merit basis.

All newly admitted students are to take note of these very important things:

  •  Late payment of JUPEB school fees or acceptance fees by fresh students for the 2020/2021session would surely attract extra charges. This means those who failed to pay the required fees before the deadline will pay more eventually. Additionally, for candidates who failed to pay the fees at all, they stand the risk of losing their admission.
  • The tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic session should be paid early by students to the designated banks. At this point, students must be careful not to get swindled by desperate miscreants out there. Therefore, you should be familiar with the banks approved by the management of the University and only pay into the official bank account.

In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with taking a programme like this, as far as the student knows what he or she is aiming for. When you get in, you will pass through intensive academic work in three subject combinations relevant to your desired field of study. You, as well as your colleagues, of course, would take six courses per semester. That means you will take a total of twelve courses at the end of the programme. Apart from those courses, you are to also offer at least two general studies courses. If you are taking two general studies courses for the whole of the session, it means you are to take one per semester.

JUPEB is hard work too, as you won’t have to start from 100 Level if you are able to scale through. The general practice is that each course you take will be examined at the end of each semester. Nevertheless, the results in all the courses you offered will be merged at the end of the second semester to obtain a letter grade in each subject. Indeed, to get into the system (either in the University of Benin or elsewhere), you must pass the prescribed JUPEB examination and must ensure you do all you can to satisfy all admission requirements prescribed by departments and faculties you are going for.
