UNIUYO Cut Off Mark 2020/2021 JAMB

Have it in mind that as far as Uniuyo is concerned, the Jamb cut off mark is 180.

Therefore, to give aspirants of Uniuyo an idea of how things work as far as the institution’s admission process is concerned, as well as what to expect in a few months’ time, let us work with what was used last year – as there are usually similarities between each year’s.

As we all know, institutions in Nigeria utilize different strategies to admit students. Some school makes use of your Jamb score and your Post Utme score (e.g Jamb score divided by eight, plus Post UTME score divided by two – then the result will be the candidate’s grade). Also, some schools are simply interested in your Jamb score and O Level result (they don’t bother to conduct Post UTME exams). However, for the University of Uyo, what is most important to them is your Post Jamb (which is graded on the 100% scale)

That is to say, when an aspirant achieved success in terms of meeting up to the Jamb cut off mark, the person is invited to write the institution’s post utme.

Important Points To Note About University Of Uyo

  1. Candidates should ensure they have chosen the University of Uyo as their first choice institution during Jamb registration. As far as the country is concerned, a lot of institutions frown at the idea of making them a second choice institution in Jamb, and won’t even admit those who did that.
  2. Candidates must partake in the Post Utme screening activities to get considered for admission into the University. A student who made the school his or her first choice in Jamb won’t get close to the institution without writing and passing the Post Utme, even if such a student should get over 300 in Jamb. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they purchase the form as soon as the management of Uniuyo announced that it is for sale.
  3. While some institutions are cool with awaiting results, some are not – one of which is Uniuyo. The institution does not accept awaiting the result, and those that fell into the category might want to begin seeking schools that don’t mind them (and quickly get the change of institution form before it closes)
  4. Candidates should prepare hard for the Post Utme and try to score very high marks. The exam is not that tough, just ensure you study smartly (particularly with past questions), and you will be fine. Always remember that the higher your score, the higher your chance of being admitted by the management of the University of Uyo.
  5. You should be familiar with the issue of the catchment area already as far as Nigeria is concerned. Well, Uniuyo also has its own catchment areas too. So, you might want to find out if your state of origin falls under this catchment area or not. But even if your state of origin is not there, yours is simply to work very hard to ensure that you have a high grade so that you can beat the merit cut off mark.

As far as Uniuyo post utme is concerned, candidates should strive to have a minimum of 50%, as failure to do that means the person might have to come back again next year. Of course, we should also add that 50% is too small for those that are going for very competitive courses like medicine, law, nursing and so on.

Everyone knows how tough it is to get admission to higher institutions in Nigeria currently, not to even talk about into very popular universities like the University of Uyo. However, it is quite possible to scale through without too much stress. A lot of people have done it before and achieved success, and you can also do it.

Should in case you couldn’t eventually get the admission this year, you don’t need to be sad and begin looking down on yourself. You can come back powerfully next year and conquer the race as the champion which you are. Definitely, this is not something we just say just for fun, but it is accomplished with hard works. So, study very hard and start your preparations from this moment. The earlier the preparation, the better for you.
