  • Fidelis Okoro 

Fidelis, a Nigerian politician born in Iheagu, Nkru, Nsukka. He is one of the top politicians in Enugu state, as he was elected senator for the Enugu North constituency of Enugu state. He assumed office from 29 May 1999 to May 2007. After taking his seat in the Senate, he was appointed to the committee on senate services, industries, police affairs, and others. He was the one who changes the allegiance party to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

  • Okwesileze Nwodo  

Born 28th July 1950, is Emmanuel Okwesileze Nwodo. He is a Nigerian politician and was elected Governor of Enugu State in the year 1992, this was during Nigeria third republic. He studied medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka this was between 1971-1977. In the year 1977 and 1980, he was a house officer at the University of Nigeria teaching hospital in Enugu and at the military hospital in Jos. He continued his studies and did lots of good works for his state.

He was elected to the senate for the Enugu east in 2003, he was appointed as the chairman of the committee on federal character and governmental affairs. He then became president of the senate in the year 2005 to 2007.

  • Ike Ekweremadu  

He was born on May 12, 1962, at Amachara Mpu village in the Aninri local govt area of Enugu state. He is a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria. Ike was born into a royal family. He studied law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and was called to Nigeria born in 1987. He got his masters degree from the same university and doctorate degree from the University of Abuja, he started his political career from the grassroots and has excel well in that field.

  • Hyde Onugulachi 

Rv. Dr. Hyde was elected senator for Enugu west constituency. He took the position on 29th May 1999, his opponent which was from the PDP filed an election petition wich the election tribunal on the basis which he said the figures were falsified, they ended the election and conducted another one, which his opponents won. He was the chairman of the governing council of IMT, Enugu from 2004 to 2009.

  • Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba 

He was born on 14 December 1958, a political party in the PDP. He was elected senate for the Anambra south constituency of Anambra state, though his birth state in Enugu, his parents were also the origin of Anambra state. Uba assisted in the 1999 presidential elections in Nigeria, then he was in the United States, he returned to Nigeria and was appointed special assistant on special duties and democratic affairs to president Olusegun Obasanjo.

  • Ayogun Eze 

Born November 23, 1958. He was elected senator for the Enugu North constituency of Enugu State, Nigeria taking office on May 29, 2007. A member of the PDP. Eze obtained a master’s degree in public administration and he started work as a journalist.

  • Fidelia Akuabata Njeze 

Born on 8th June 1964 in Enugu state, he has a Bsc. in pharmacy from the University of Nsukka. She became a pharmacist with Chinos pharmacy in 1992, she was appointed as a member of the Enugu state health services management board to help transform the health sector. She moved forward and was appointed minister of state for Defence in July 2007, she was appointed minister of states for Agriculture and water resources after a major cabinet reshuffle by the late President Umaru Musa Yaradua. She was then appointed as minister of Aviation on 6th April 2010. The Federal University of Technology awarded her an Honorary Doctorate degree confetory on her doctor of management of technology.
