A long list of grants for school construction in Africa. As we explained in a previous article, grants are usually small amounts of money given to individuals or organizations by other individuals or organizations, so as to help fund certain activities. They are a sign of goodwill and a vote of confidence from the donor to the recipient. Grants usually come without any strings attached.

School construction is an area where much of Africa continues to lag behind today, thus making it imperative for many foreign bodies to wade in, in order to save the situation. Foreign bodies who are willing to help can often not foot the entire bill by themselves, and so they often pass through local Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in order to funnel in their contributions.

In this article, we want to look at some of the grants which have been made available by donor agencies, most of which are in Europe and America, in order to help save the African Child from a future without education. Without any further ado, we now present the list of grants for school construction in Africa.

As the information above already shows, there are many organizations willing to fund educational projects in Africa. However, because many of these organizations have a global reach, they are more interested in sponsoring projects that they are confident will be properly executed. A major drawback facing African NGOs is accountability and transparency. NGO’s who want to be taken seriously by Western donors must work hard to gain their trust, thus enabling them to receive funds with greater ease.
