VISA REQUIREMENTS
Before you can proceed with Uk visa application in Nigeria and be issued a UK visa, you need some if not all, depending on your purpose of visit and other factors. You would be told the documents to bring along, this is just for educational purpose.
- A valid international passport.
- If you are not a Nigerian, you need an evidence of permission to be in UK. E.g green card, residence permit, etc.
- One passport-sized color photo on white background that isn’t more than 45mmx35m.

STEPS TO APPLY FOR A UK VISA IN NIGERIA
STEP 1
You need to know the type of visa you should apply and how much it would cost you, check that on the UK Immigration and visa site. Generally, the fee varies, depending on the type of visa and the other terms but a general visit visa is 141 US dollars. The price changes so try to find out. You should also book your appointment with the UK visa Application Centre.
Once you fill the form, a number known as the GWF would be given to you, keep it save as you would need it during the registration process. You will receive an email in it, would contain the appointment dasho location and the required documents to bring along with.you to the application centre.
STEP 2
you are required then to register your details at the Teleperformance website (www.ge2ng.tpcontact.co.uk/register) else, your appointment wouldn’t be honoured. STEP 3
On the day of your appointment, go early and don’t be late else, you will need to rebook an appointment so confirm the time and date from the email sent to you. Also, go with the required documents. After you had payed the fee, your biometric data would be collected. This also include children below the age of 5 now.
This submission is done between 8:30AM to 4:30PM weekdays except of course during holidays. After submission, It processing time usually takes 4 to 6 working days except in exceptional cases of crime or refusal history.
STEP 4: COLLECTION OF VISA
Usually, an SMS would be sent to you telling you your application had been sent to the UK Embassy for approval (on the submission date) and you would equally be notified when it had been sent back to the UK Application Centre for collection. Come with your application checklist, original ID and a photocopy of the data page of your passport between the ours of 10:00AM to 4:00PM weekdays for collection. They don’t allow third person collection except in cases of Government representatives, a parent
collecting for his/her child or collecting on behalf of the family if they applied together.
