His father was Kuru Danjuma and his mother was Rufkatu Asibi.  During the young age of Danjuma, Takum was mainly a farming community, they grew yams, rice, cassava, and boniseed were cultivated largely by families of his clan. The fishing festival is normally done in a creative style, as there will be lots of activities like canoe racing, swimming competition, and cultural dances, this festival is done in April every year.
