The best science SHS in Ghana are a collection of schools that have over the years gained a track record of very good academic performances in the area of science. Overall, the education system in Ghana is very good, students generally do very well in the West African Examination Council exams, and a very good number of them go on to have glowing professional careers.
In the area of science however, there is plenty of room for improvement overall; Africa as a whole lags far behind the rest of the world in science; especially in medical science and pharmaceutical research, technology, and so on. With so much development being necessary; it is understandable that any reasonable government will pump adequate resources in this area of special needs.
That provides so much potential for students to do well for themselves by becoming doctors, researchers, engineers, and so on. In order to achieve this, they have to attend schools with solid foundations in science.
