Yvonne Chinyere Okoro was born to a Nigerian ather and a Ghanian mother. Her father hails from Abia State in Nigeria, and her mother is from Enyan Abaasa in the Central African Region.
She attended Achimota Preparatory School, Lincoln Community Secondary School, Faith Montessori School. She later attended University of Ghana, Legon where she studied and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Linguistics. She also Studied French Civilization and Culture as well as Drama and Marketing at Université’ De Nantes in France.
Yvonne Chinyere Okoro’s first movie was ‘sticking to the promise’ which was after she completed her senior high school in 2002. She also played a comic role in ‘Tentacles’ produced by Theo Akatugba (a Nigerian prouducer).
Her good performances in the Tentacles threw her into a big movie, ‘Beyonce’, which was her first major movie.

She has more than 12 movies to her credit. They include 4Play, Reloaded, Desperate To Survive, The Game, Agony Of Christ, Royal Battle, President’s Daughter to mention a few.
Yvonne enjoys reading and cooking. Her favorite food is rice and stew garnished with vegetable. She says she is single but not searching.
