The post UTME screening exercise will first take place before you can expect OAU departmental cut off mark to be released by the management of the University. Students who failed to take part in the post UTME screening exercise won’t be considered for admission into the institution. 1. The University is a federal government-owned and is located in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
2. Obafemi Awolowo University was established in 1961. It was formerly known as the University of Ife before it was renamed Obafemi Awolowo University in 1987.
3. OAU was renamed in honour of Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was the first premier of the Western Region of Nigeria.
4. Currently, there are 13 faculties in the school, and they are:

5. OAU is sitting on 2,020 hectares (5,000 acres) of land and is regarded as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. It has superb structures and architectural designs which are properly arranged and organized. The campus is a big community of its own, with vital stuff like banks, markets, religious centers. There also various Halls of Residence in it that accommodate tons of students.
6. The School officially accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), and they even offer courses and programs amounting to officially recognized higher education degrees.
