Born 2nd of July 1991 to the Ogulu family. Damini Ogulo also known as Burna Boy is a Nigerian artiste, an Afro singer, and a songwriter. Burna Boy started music at a tender age, like every child he started early, grew up in South London before relocating to Rivers State, Nigeria. He attended school like every growing child in Rivers state, he was enrolled into the Montessori International School where he finished his primary education and later attended Corona, Agbara in Lagos state, Nigeria, he finished his secondary school education. While in school his love for music grew wide and strong.

Starting at the age of ten, he began making music when a friend of his shared with him a software, he worked on an old computer. After his secondary education he moved to London to further and attend a university, he was arrested for being a part of a gang that had allegedly stabbed a person to death, this took place in 2010, but could not continue his education after two years which made him come back to Nigeria. At age 19 he was back again to Nigeria, where he worked in an old studio with LeriQ. Coming back to Nigeria and making the Nigerian kind of music was a big challenge to him because he had always wanted to create his own unique sound, growing up as a young child he preferred the likes of DMX and some other foreign songs, moving down to his country made him appreciate the likes of Fela.
